Some unique Iranian stones such as Azarshahr travertine have gained international recognition, and many popular and widely used stones in the world are extracted exclusively in our country. The extraction and use of building stones is not limited to Iran; these essential and highly utilized materials are quarried worldwide and used in construction projects.

A large portion of Iran’s stone exports goes to countries such as Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan. European countries like Italy also benefit from importing and processing Iranian stones.
